Below is a key to Websafe Colours for Etz Chaim Sephiroth and Paths. It’s based on the Golden Dawn Colour Scales (as displayed on the Servants of the Light page ‘A Tree of Life’). The original list was probably done in the early 2000s. Since then, it seems that the web has somewhat outgrown the concept of reproducible colours in any browser and screen. See the ‘Colour Basics‘ page for more info on this. The ‘Links: Colour Resources‘ page also may be helpful. Regardless, I’ll continue to share this table until someone advises me of a better way to create a relatvely standardised version of, say, “bright yellowish green”.

* The colour descriptions used are those given in the four Scales of Colour of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. There are several versions of these scales, not all of which totally agree with each other. The version presented above was adopted by the Servants of the Light (SOL) and is used in their lessons and on their website. It mirrors what appears in Gareth’s Knight‘s encyclopedic A Practical Guide to Qabalistic Symbolism.
** Hex codes for colours were initially taken from those given on the Servants of the Light (SOL) website. Likewise the *** graphics for various combination colours (e.g., ‘white flecked gold,’ etc ) also are mostly courtesy of the SOL.
A degree of subjectivity entered into colour specification for some of the Sephiroth and Paths, even with the excellent guidance from SOL. Where their colour choice was different than my own, both are given. The next version of this chart will incorporate RGB codes as well — and no doubt other changes.
